# Settings and callsign

Each player sets up their own radio in `/control`. Settings are saved per player.

## The /control panel

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Microphone** | Which mic dispatch listens to |
| **Volumes** | Dispatch's voice, and the radio clicks |
| **Callsign** | What dispatch calls you, when you don't use the MDT's CAD |
| **Dispatcher says my callsign** | Untick to have replies without it |
| **Radio animation** | Shoulder or None, plus Chest 1-3, Handheld 1-3 and Right Shoulder when rpemotes is running |
| **Mic noise filtering** | The browser's noise suppression, echo cancellation and auto gain. Turn it off if recognition is poor |
| **Learned corrections** | Words dispatch has learned you mean differently. Remove any with × |
| **Mic check** | Hold **Hold and say a command**: shows your level and what dispatch heard and would do, without running anything |

## Callsign

Dispatch opens its replies with your callsign: *"One Adam Twelve, copy, tow truck en route."* It won't repeat it if the next reply comes within 8 seconds.

- **With the MDT:** it's the callsign you signed on with in the CAD. Change it in the CAD's settings.
- **Without the MDT:** set it in `/control`, e.g. `1-Adam-12`, `1A12` or `3 Charlie 21`.

You can also start with your callsign yourself: *"One Adam Twelve to dispatch..."*

## Radio animation

While you hold push-to-talk your character uses their radio, and other players see it. It's skipped while a weapon is drawn, and off inside vehicles by default (the arm would leave the wheel). Server owners set the list and default in the [configuration](/docs/lwk_control/configuration).

## Learned corrections

After a "say again", a retry that works teaches dispatch what it misheard. Say "tote truck" then "tow truck", and "tote" means "tow" for you from then on. An "affirmative" to a "did you mean" teaches the same way. Up to 40 are kept per player, listed in `/control`.

## Keys

| Key | Does |
|---|---|
| **H** (hold) | Talk to dispatch |
| **B** (hold) | Speak through the PA (traffic stops) |

Rebind both in **Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM → lwk_control**.
