Updating

Run the setup wizard again on the folder you already have. It keeps your add-ons and settings and only asks about anything new since your last setup.

#How versions work

There's one version number for the whole set. Every release has the latest core and every add-on, so you never mix versions of c3r and the MDT. Release notes are on the changelog.

#Update with the wizard

1. Run c3rsetup.exe and pick Update an existing [c3r_core] folder.
2. Point it at your current [c3r_core] folder (a copy on your PC is fine).
3. It shows only the settings that are new, with defaults filled in.
4. Replace the [c3r_core] folder on your server with the updated one.
5. Restart the server.

#Your data

Everything in the database stays: people, vehicles, reports, phone data. New tables and columns are added on start, and nothing is removed.

#Config you edited by hand

The wizard writes the settings it asks about. If you changed other values directly in a config file, make a copy of that file before updating and put your values back afterwards. The in-game editor, /c3rconfig, writes into the same files, so those changes count as hand edits too.
