Callsign

Dispatch opens its replies with your callsign: "One Adam Twelve, copy, tow truck en route." It won't repeat it if the next reply comes within 8 seconds.

  • With the MDT: it's the callsign you signed on with in the CAD. Change it in the CAD's settings.
  • Without the MDT: set it in /control, e.g. 1-Adam-12, 1A12 or 3 Charlie 21.

You can also start with your callsign yourself: "One Adam Twelve to dispatch..."

Radio animation

While you hold push-to-talk your character uses their radio, and other players see it. It's skipped while a weapon is drawn, and off inside vehicles by default (the arm would leave the wheel). Server owners set the list and default in the configuration.

Learned corrections

After a "say again", a retry that works teaches dispatch what it misheard. Say "tote truck" then "tow truck", and "tote" means "tow" for you from then on. An "affirmative" to a "did you mean" teaches the same way. Up to 40 are kept per player, listed in /control.
